Burnout – avoidance, recovery and resilience

Burnout is no longer just a buzzword. We know it’s a very real, very present challenge facing so many of us in the legal profession either personally or perhaps we can see it in someone we love.

Our professional culture celebrates overwork and perfectionism. How do we protect our energy, recover from burnout, and build the kind of resilience that doesn’t rely on pushing ourselves past the edge, or feeling like a failure?

The conversation around mental health is growing, but meaningful change only happens when we take a very honest look at the reasons behind our behaviours, about what’s not working, and what we need in order to thrive.

Hannah and I are looking forward to opening up a space where we can speak truthfully about the pressures we face, explore practical ways to navigate them, and support one another in creating careers (and lives) that are not only sustainable, but fulfilling.
